Aspirus has retained Kirby Partners to conduct a nationwide executive search for candidates for their Director, System Business Intelligence & Analytics.
Aspirus is a non-profit, community-directed health system based in Wausau, Wisconsin. Its 8,700 employees are focused on improving the health and well-being of people throughout Wisconsin and Upper Michigan.
Aspirus serves communities through four hospitals in Upper Michigan and six hospitals in Wisconsin, more than 50 clinics, home health and hospice care, pharmacies, critical care and air-medical transport, medical goods, nursing homes and a broad network of physicians. Of note, Aspirus just announced that Aspirus Health and Ascension have signed an agreement to transfer from Ascension to Aspirus ownership of seven hospitals, 21 physician clinics, and air and ground medical transport services located in north and central Wisconsin.

Director, System Business Intelligence & Analytics Job Overview
Reporting to the Senior Vice President - Chief Strategy Officer, the Director, System Business Intelligence & Analytics will serve as the change agent, constructing and implementing the vision for transforming data into actionable insights, and applying modern data science methods to business challenges.
This strategic role leads the business intelligence, reporting and data engineering functions, and is responsible for developing and implementing core data strategies and evangelizing a culture of data-driven decision-making.
The Director, System Business Intelligence & Analytics oversees the management, architecture, and strategy of Aspirus’ service BI platform and is charged with enhancing organizational business acumen through robust reporting and self-service capabilities.This role ensures data integrity, accuracy, and governance to support the growing needs of Aspirus.
Additionally, the Director will drive efforts to reduce costs, improve efficiencies and enhance quality through report automation and predictive/prescriptive analytics.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Master’s Degree highly desired.
Experience:
- 5+ years of health care analytics experience.
- 7+ years of leading and developing a Business Intelligence/Data Science team.
- Experience developing and implementing a Business Intelligence vision and strategy, and building team capabilities.
- Experience identifying and implementing best practices driving automation and machine learning capabilities.
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (Epic preferred) associated tools
- Experience and comfortable interacting with senior executives
