Enterprise Architect Job Overview

With the incredible growth of Moffitt Cancer Center, and the new strategic plan, Impact 2028, Moffitt leadership is investing heavily in the Information Technology division to rapidly accelerate maturity and position the organization for the future. Moffitt’s strategic plan is heavily dependent on information technology; one of three pillars is the Digital Care/Discovery Accelerator led by the new Chief Digital Innovation Officer. In addition to the data organization under the direction of the Chief Data Officer, the CDIO also has responsibility for digital innovation, and the Information Technology organization under the leadership of the Chief Information Officer. IT is a core enabler to the digital strategy and will participate in the design, development and implementation of the digital plan. The IT department needs a solid foundation, ensuring the right resources, processes and technologies are in place driving maturity and building strong business partnership across the organization. This high-profile position serves as an important advisor to the Cancer Center’s leadership team and will contribute to the formation and execution of the Moffitt technology vision.

The Enterprise Architect will be responsible for the creation, maintenance. and management of IT architecture models and their lower level components. The EA will also interpret, use, and apply information contained within IT architecture to inform a range of business improvement activities, particularly those involved in the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of IT systems. As a senior level architect, their primary role will be to ensure that the respective business, application and data technology perspectives are in line with the organization’s technology, governance strategies, polices and standards. They will have direct oversight of the Technology Roadmap and make sure it is accurate and achievable. Serving as the key advisor to the Chief Technology Officer, they will represent technology on various committees, workgroups, design sessions, and vendor selection processes.

Qualifications

Required:

Bachelor’s Degree
10+ years of experience in information technology
5+ years in an IT architecture function with some part of that as an Enterprise Architect

Preferred:

Direct or indirect healthcare experience as an employee or consultant

The Director, Ambulatory Informatics serves a key role at Tampa General Hospital as the senior level Information Technology leader accountable for supporting the technologies focused on outpatient services for Tampa General Hospital and Tampa General Medical Group. This role will oversee the implementation of IT services and new technology for existing clinics, new clinics, ambulatory expansion and the TGH outreach program (Practice Connect subsidy program to community physicians). The Director is also accountable for day-to-day operations and support for IT outpatient services including ambulatory operations and the TGH transplant program. The director promotes the use of technology, thoroughly analyzes technology and influences the implementation of technology to deliver superior quality of care, efficiencies and provider satisfaction.
