Moffitt Cancer Center has partnered with Advent Health to open a new 28,000 square-foot facility located in the Healing Plaza on the campus of AdventHealth Wesley Chapel in Pasco County, Florida.

Additionally, Moffitt Cancer Center and AdventHealth launched their first collaborative cancer clinical trial in Central Florida as the first part of a broad partnership between the organizations to expand cancer treatment and research in Central Florida.

Chief Information Security Officer Job Overview

The Chief Information Security Officer is a high-profile position that will provide leadership over enterprise information security management across patient care and research. As part of the IT leadership team, the CISO reports to the CIO and will interface with executive leaders in the organization including research. The CISO will lead a strong team of approximately 15 individuals and be the security “thought leader” and strategist for the organization.

The CISO is responsible for establishing and maintaining an enterprise information security management program to ensure that information assets are adequately protected. The CISO is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and reporting on information security risks in a manner that meets compliance and regulatory requirements, and aligns with and supports the risk posture of the enterprise. He/she will proactively work with business units and IT functional areas to implement practices that meet defined policies and standards for information security.

The CISO serves as the process owner of all assurance activities related to the availability, integrity and confidentiality of patient, employee and corporate information in compliance with the organization’s information security policies. A key element of this role is working with executive management to determine acceptable levels of risk for the organization. He/she must be highly knowledgeable about the business environment and ensure that information systems are maintained in a fully functional, secure mode. Additionally, the CISO will serve as an internal consultant to organizational leadership regarding cybersecurity awareness and education.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 4 years in a CISO/Director level role providing strategic leadership and operation oversight for an enterprise information security management program
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified CISO (CCISO)
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Payment Card Industry/ Data Security Standard (PCI)
  • Demonstrated expertise in maturing security awareness

Senior Director, Clinical Applications Job Overview

The MENTOR Network Senior Director, Clinical Applications, will collaborate with senior leaders, directors and stakeholders to guide the development, implementation, and sustainment of clinical and non-clinical applications and programs across MENTOR’s operating groups.

The MENTOR Network provides a number of clinical programs to residential and nonresidential individuals and families. These programs include residential programs for individuals with complex medical needs, early intervention programs for children diagnosed with autism, and behavioral therapies for individuals with traumatic or other brain injuries.

They are looking for an individual that understands the benefits of information technology for clinicians and caregivers that improve the lives of these individuals. This highly-visible position directs and manages the strategic planning, development, implementation, administration and maintenance of a portfolio of software systems and solutions, both custom developed and commercial off-the-shelf, that help deliver on the MENTOR’s strategic mission and plans.

The MENTOR Network is in a growth mode and this person will address the need to develop and grow enabling systems and innovative technology to support this growth. Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university required. Masters degree desired.

Experience:

  • Related clinical experience in home health, long-term care, and related services.  Experience with the populations MENTOR services is a plus.
  • Management experience in complex environments that include both custom-developed and commercial-off-the-shelf solutions in support of multiple operating groups and functions.
  • Ability to articulate a strategy and implementation approach in a manner that aligns executives across the organization especially as it relates to governing, aggregating, and maintaining clinical applications.
  • A key understanding of interfaces and getting the most data out of engines are highly desirable.

Other:

  • Candidates who are highly motivated and have “for-profit” healthcare and value-based care experience are highly desired. 
  • A background of extensive healthcare applications management with physician groups, behavior health, and extended care services is highly desired.
  • A high comfort level bringing technology to clinicians will also make the final candidate successful.
