Aspirus has retained Kirby Partners to conduct a nationwide executive search for their Director of Clinical Informatics position.
Aspirus, a non-profit, community-directed health system based in Wausau, Wisconsin, serves communities through four hospitals in Upper Michigan and four hospitals in Wisconsin, more than 50 clinics, home health and hospice care, pharmacies, critical care and air-medical transport, medical goods, nursing homes and a broad network of physicians. Aspirus was recently recognized as one of the top 15 Health Systems in the United States by IBM Watson in their annual study identifying the top-performing health systems in the country based on overall organizational performance.

Director of Clinical Informatics Position Overview:
With a new CMIO in place, there is a unique opportunity for the Director to help optimize workflow in Epic and other clinical applications within Aspirus. The Director of Clinical Informatics will lead a team of ~40 overseeing all informatics functions and workflows related to clinical applications, as well as training and support. The Director will also serve as a liaison with executive leaders, physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to ensure alignment and implementation of technology to support operations.
Qualifications:
- Experience managing the operations of an informatics program in a major health care organization
- Experience with Epic preferred
- Bachelors’ Degree in Nursing or related clinical field required
- Experience with developing training programs
- Background in clinical management and process improvement
