Southern Illinois Healthcare has retained Kirby Partners to conduct a nationwide executive search for their Vice President/Chief Innovation Officer position.
Southern Illinois Healthcare (SIH) is a not-for-profit health care system, dedicated to promoting the health and well-being of all of the people in the seven-county primary service area they serve. SIH is comprised of over twenty facilities, including three inpatient hospitals, two clinics, two physician office buildings, an urgent care center and dedicated centers that include neuro, cancer, heart, sleep, and rehabilitation. The Vice President/Chief Innovation Officer will join over 3,700 SIH employees, along with physicians and volunteers, and work together to achieve their mission and ensure the healthcare needs of those they serve are met.
SIH is also affiliated with SIU School of Medicine, Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago and Prairie Heart Institute.
VP/Chief Innovation Officer Position Overview:
The Vice President/Chief Innovation Officer (VP/CIO) will direct the information technology department to continue working towards the industry’s best IT practices. Southern Illinois has built an exceptional employee culture of strong performers who live their mission, and there is significant tenure within the organization.
While not needing a "cutting edge" innovator, SIH is looking for discipline around execution and transformational elements. The organization is looking for creativity to help utilize the full value of their systems. They also want IT to have a patient centric focus. Qualifications
SIH seeks a dynamic and visionary technology leader, adept at dealing with challenging, fast-paced environments, who embraces moving vision to reality. To be successful, this VP/CIO will need to be a relationship builder and collaborator able to drive change, lead, grow and mentor a team, and communicate and champion the vision of IT technology in a consistent and persuasive manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- At least eight years of progressive supervisory experience
- At least seven years of Healthcare Information Technology executive experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree
- Epic experience
- Lean experience
