Organization Overview
Athens Regional Health System is one of northeast Georgia's largest health care systems. Athens Regional is composed of an acute care facility with 360+ beds, four urgent care centers, a quality network of physicians and specialists, a health maintenance organization and a home health agency. Athens Regional is the only locally owned and governed hospital in the region it serves.
Position Highlights
The Chief Technical Officer is a new position for Athens Regional Health System. The organization has numerous large-scale initiatives underway that require technical leadership. The Chief Technical Officer will have three direct reports, and over 60 indirect reports. This position will be the “right hand” of the CIO and will have extensive budgetary responsibilities. The CTO has overall responsibility for managing the technology infrastructure planning and deployment, providing technology vision, enabling innovation and understanding the IT trends that can create business value. The CTO provides leadership for the IT governance process. The CTO is responsible for managing strategic vendor and partner relationships
