Vice President, IS&T Solutions Delivery Job Overview

The Vice President, IS&T Solutions Delivery is responsible for defining and driving the organization’s Business Partnering and Project Delivery Programs in order meet organizational business requirements. 

The Vice President, IS&T Solutions Delivery will lead a team responsible for the daily operation of IT technology solutions programs to ensure cost-effective, secure, highly reliable and dynamic service delivery.  

The Vice President, IS&T Solutions Delivery will collaborate with internal stakeholders, contractors and vendors to ensure compliance with company policies and other regulatory requirements, including technical, administrative, and physical safeguards in accordance with applicable federal and state laws.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management of Information Systems, Clinical Informatics, or related field is required 
  • Master’s Degree in a related discipline is preferred

Required Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience across a variety of healthcare technology solution delivery and leadership roles
  • Experience in leading technology programs at an enterprise-level in a large-scale, complex technology environment 
  • Experience in a healthcare setting 

Preferred Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in a combination of technology leadership, project delivery, Electronic Medical Record advancement, or quality improvement
  • Knowledge of frameworks such as the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), Lean process improvement, and the IHE Model for improvement 
  • Certification in any clinical or clinical informatics discipline

Manager of Technical Services Position Description:

The Manager of Technical Services assists the Director of Technology in directing the daily activities of Information Systems and Telecommunications for all facilities within St. Joseph’s/Candler Healthcare System.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees desktop support, network administration, telecommunications operations, and a team of PBX operators
  • Lead the daily operations of the Help Desk
  • Synthesize complex technical strategies into actionable plans
  • Ensure project management and change management processes are in place
  • Work with the Director of Technology to set desktop related hardware and software standards

 

 

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Three or more years of experience in a technical role in Information Services

Position Highlights

The Chief Technical Officer is a new position for Athens Regional Health System. The organization has numerous large-scale initiatives underway that require technical leadership. The Chief Technical Officer will have three direct reports, and over 60 indirect reports. This position will be the “right hand” of the CIO and will have extensive budgetary responsibilities. The CTO has overall responsibility for managing the technology infrastructure planning and deployment, providing technology vision, enabling innovation and understanding the IT trends that can create business value. The CTO provides leadership for the IT governance process. The CTO is responsible for managing strategic vendor and partner relationships
